Senior Software Engineer **Sign-on Bonus Potential**

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics, you will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions. You will provide technical leadership on high-impact projects, facilitate alignment and clarity on goals, outcomes, and timelines, and analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance needs. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer to define feature specifications, build products, and conduct design and code reviews. This role involves solving problems of diverse scopes and demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
• Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects.
• Facilitate alignment and clarity on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Work closely with the Chief Engineer to define feature specifications and build products.
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Work on problems of diverse scopes requiring data analysis and evaluation of identifiable factors.
• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Complete medium to large features independently without guidance.
• Identify and drive changes for assigned codebase, product area, or systems.
• Assist with development and execution of test procedures for software components.
• Generate and review software/technical documentation.

Requirements

• An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence.
• Proficiency with the following software development skills:
  • Git
  • Java, C++, and/or Python
  • Relational databases, such as Postgres

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 14+ years of experience.
• Four years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience with:
  • Docker/Kubernetes
  • HAProxy
  • Nginx
  • Elastic Stack

Schedule

Hybrid work authorized, up to 16 hours per week, depending on team and workload.

Pay

Pay range: $175,000 - $220,000. Sign-on bonus up to $25,000 for eligible/qualified candidates.
