Senior Software Engineer, Platform

About the role

We are a remote-first healthcare and technology company, seeking an experienced engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. As a key member of our Platform Engineering team, you will play a role in designing, building, and maintaining the systems and infrastructure necessary to support Omada’s mission. The Platform Engineering team is responsible for both the operational integrity of our infrastructure, as well as DevOps processes which help other engineers get more done with less pain.

Requirements

• 5+ years of working experience designing and building diverse AWS cloud architectures
• Experience building and operating a Kubernetes cluster
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible
• Experience working with Datadog application performance monitoring, custom metrics, and logs
• Experience managing, configuring, and troubleshooting persistent virtual Linux hosts and volumes
• Experience building, deploying, and orchestrating Docker images and containers
• Great communication skills – both written and verbal
• Skilled at writing documentation for others
• Readiness to run towards fires as part of an on-call rotation

Bonus points for

• Experience managing self-hosted Gitlab
• Experience working with PostgreSQL
• Experience writing Golang
