Responsibilities
- Architect the backend systems and data pipelines powering the factory of the future.
- Build hybrid cloud and on-prem services that maintain uptime in high-stakes industrial environments.
- Design and implement multi-compute architectures spanning embedded devices, on-prem factory services, and cloud-based backend systems.
- Develop resilient infrastructure-as-code and observability tools that ensure high uptime and performance in noisy industrial production environments.
- Build petabyte-scale visual data pipelines for ingesting, indexing, and preparing manufacturing data for machine learning workflows.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience building and shipping production-grade software with a focus on backend systems, infrastructure, or data at scale.
- Deep expertise in hybrid cloud/edge environments and is comfortable managing complex systems that handle terabytes to petabytes of data.
- Thrive in an in-person, fast-iterating startup culture and capable of owning technical direction from architecture to end-to-end execution.
Qualifications
- Strong background in software engineering, with a focus on backend systems, infrastructure, or data at scale.
- Experience with hybrid cloud/edge environments and petabyte-scale data processing.
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable, reliable systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.
Skills
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and other containerization technologies.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and service-oriented architecture.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Hadoop, Spark, or Flink.
- Strong understanding of machine learning and its application in industrial settings.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
