About the role
As a Senior Software Engineer at Nidus, you will architect the backend systems and data pipelines powering the factory of the future. You'll build hybrid cloud and on-prem services that maintain uptime in high-stakes industrial environments. This is a hands-on, founding-team role driving the software backbone for autonomous, localized manufacturing.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement multi-compute architectures spanning embedded devices, on-prem factory services, and cloud-based backend systems.
- Build petabyte-scale visual data pipelines for ingesting, indexing, and preparing manufacturing data for machine learning workflows.
- Develop resilient infrastructure-as-code and observability tools that ensure high uptime and performance in noisy industrial production environments.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience building and shipping production-grade software with a focus on backend systems, infrastructure, or data at scale.
- Deep expertise in hybrid cloud/edge environments and comfort managing complex systems that handle terabytes to petabytes of data.
- Thrives in an in-person, fast-iterating startup culture and is capable of owning technical direction from architecture to end-to-end execution.
