Senior Software Engineer 2 - Care Tools

About the role

The Senior Software Engineer on the Customer Care Tools & Intelligence (CCTI) team at The Farmer’s Dog will play a pivotal role in enhancing the tools and technologies used by Customer Care Advisors. This role requires a deep understanding of customer needs and a passion for using technology to improve the advisor experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of complex systems and features, from planning through maintenance, ensuring long-term sustainability
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders to shape strategy and achieve our goals
• Contribute to our engineering culture and mentor the team through knowledge sharing, feedback, and design and incident reviews
• Work our stack (TypeScript, Node.js, React, OpenAPI, AWS), but embrace learning and applying new tools as needed
• Partner with Customer Care to deeply understand advisor workflows, translating real-world pain points into AI powered solutions or tools that help advisors deliver more personalized service

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 7 years of relevant software engineering experience
• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, and OpenAPI
• Strong understanding of cloud services such as AWS
• Experience with backend services and API development
• Experience with AI and machine learning technologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices

• Experience with CRM systems and tools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Pay

The anticipated hiring base compensation range is $205,000.00 - $240,000.00 USD Annual and the compensation offered will include a robust market competitive package of base and equity. In addition to your base compensation offer you will also receive equity ownership in the company. More information about the value of this equity will be shared at the time of offer.
