About the role

The Sr. Software Tools Engineer will play a critical part in enhancing and streamlining software development, testing, and quality assurance processes. This role offers a rare chance to be at the forefront of helping develop a groundbreaking technology that can disrupt the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain custom tools and scripts to support software development, testing, deployment, and maintenance processes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, quality assurance, and technical leaders, to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing tools and processes, driving innovation and efficiency across the team.
  • Generate automated reports and test protocols that provide actionable insights into software performance and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of Medical device software development, IEC-62304 and FDA guidance in a technical discipline, preferably software related
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Experience working with tools like JIRA, Gitlab, Artifactory, and AWS, including API integration and automation.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Flutter/Dart, Python, C++/C# or similar languages
  • Strong understanding of good documentation practices
  • Experience with software version control systems, such as Git
  • Experience with Docker and Linux
  • Experience with Agile development
  • Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial drive
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
