About The Team
As a Senior Software Developer, you will join PACCAR’s talented Mainframe team, supporting the mission-critical Materials and Finance systems that power the manufacturing, supply chain, and financial operations behind the production of medium and heavy-duty trucks across North America. You will collaborate with business and technology teams to design, develop, and enhance innovative solutions, leverage modern AI-enabled tools to improve productivity and software delivery, and help ensure the reliability and performance of applications that are essential to PACCAR’s continued success.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business customers and stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend effective technical solutions.
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support mainframe applications and system enhancements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring system reliability and performance.
- Provide application and system administration support for critical business systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver business value.
- Participate in code reviews, technical analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support production deployments and participate in an on-call rotation, including occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
- Utilize AI-enabled tools to improve development efficiency, quality, and operational support processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including application development, scripting, workflow design, and data mapping.
- 5+ years of mainframe experience with COBOL, IMS DB, DB2, CICS and JCL.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, databases, and spreadsheets.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field desired.

Pay
$90,400 - $141,800 annually.
