About the team
The AWS Compliance & Security Assurance Engineering team is dedicated to building customer trust by ensuring AWS meets the security and compliance standards of its regulators, auditors, and customers worldwide. The team comprises software engineers, security engineers, technical product/program managers, data engineers, and compliance specialists. This role offers an opportunity to influence projects spanning multiple products and teams, build internal services, and expand AWS's ability to continuously monitor key security functions.
Key job responsibilities
- Write high-quality code with thorough test coverage as you mentor other developers so they can learn from your CRs.
- Find out what it takes to engineer systems for "Amazon Scale."

- Truly care about designing highly available, secure, distributed systems of microservices, then you will make them even better by consulting with peers and technical leaders.

- Have full ownership and operate the systems that you build based on real-time customer data and demanding service-level agreements.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience or familiarity with building scalable systems that integrate Generative AI technologies
