Senior Software Development Engineer, AWS Compliance & Security Assurance

About the role

The AWS Compliance & Security Assurance Engineering team is dedicated to enhancing customer trust through innovative security and compliance solutions. We design and build services that meet the highest standards set by global regulators and customers. Leveraging Generative AI, we aim to continuously improve our security and compliance capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Influence projects or initiatives spanning multiple products and teams.
• Build and own internal services that identify and monitor security/compliance-relevant attributes of key infrastructure.
• Streamline and scale execution of security and compliance audits/examinations of AWS services.
• Expand our ability to continuously monitor key security functions.
• Lead the technical strategy and technical advisory for adjacent teams.
• Write code that works at Amazon scale, mentoring other developers to ensure thorough test coverage.
• Operate the systems you build based on real-time customer data and demanding service-level agreements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience or familiarity with building scalable systems that integrate Generative AI technologies.

Skills

• Full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
