Senior Software and System Design Engineer II

Role Overview

The Digital Product Management (DPM) Development Systems Engineer II manages projects, system enhancements, and support for DPM systems across automotive, power sports, and power equipment sectors.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project direction, collaborating with North American, Japan-based IT teams, and global vendors.
• Coordinate integration of engineering tools such as CAD, CAE, CAM, and CAT with other IT units.
• Serve as a technical resource for CAD and PLM tools, supporting deployment and support metrics.
• Lead medium-complexity projects, defining strategies, budgets, and resource plans for enterprise-wide CAD and PLM initiatives.
• Develop strategies for DPM platform growth, present roadmaps, and support budget planning.
• Supervise tools and processes within the team, coach junior engineers, and implement new technologies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, or related STEM fields.
• Minimum five years of relevant industry experience.
• Expertise in product design, enterprise PLM applications, mechanical principles, CAD/CAE/CAM tools, and IT disciplines such as programming, database management, and DevSecOps.
• Strong communication, project management, and cross-region collaboration skills.
• Proven experience with product development lifecycle, technical leadership, and supporting complex projects.
• Proficiency in programming languages, IT systems, and agile methods.

Workstyle

Onsite role with potential for one remote day weekly.
