Solution Design
Collaborate with partners to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate them into technical solutions leveraging the capabilities of the ServiceNow platform.
Development
- Develops ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript, GlideScript, Jelly, AJAX, JSON, AngularJS, Web Services, MYSQL, XML, HTML, and CSS.
- Follows best and leading practices for out of the box configurations and any customization as determined by platform architect.
Delivery
- Follows different delivery approaches including waterfall, kanban, and agile as aligned to SDLC practices and product management release cycles.
- Works from a prioritized backlog as part of an agile team, in 2-week sprints as part of a planning increment.
Integrations
- Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability using APIs, Workflow Data Fabric, Integration Hub, and other methods.
Performance Optimization
- Execution on performance optimization, scalability improvements, and enhancement of the overall user experience on the ServiceNow platform.
Governance and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with security standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices in all aspects of ServiceNow platform implementation and usage.
Documentation and Training
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, design specifications, and user guides.
- Conduct training sessions for partners and end-users as needed.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated with the latest trends, features, and capabilities of the ServiceNow platform.
- Proactively seek out areas for process improvement and innovation, such as refactoring existing capabilities for increased value.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent.
- 5+ years ServiceNow Platform experience including systems administration, scripting, and development; current release on Yokohama or Zurich.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS, ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions) and other relevant technologies used in ServiceNow development (Flow Designer, orchestration, MID Servers, Scoped & Global Applications, CMDB/CSDM understanding).
- Ability to communicate with stakeholders and users at multiple levels.
- Ability to understand use cases, personas and create solutions that are fit for use and purpose.
- Ability to learn and grow, staying current with technology and emerging trends.
- Acting as a mentor to junior team members.
- Experience with ServiceNow integration technologies such as REST API, SOAP, MID Server, JDBC, Integration Hub spokes, and Plug-ins/Store apps.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes, ITIL v4/5 foundational certified (or obtained within first 3 months of employment).
- Active ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD) is required (or obtained within first 3 months of employment).
Preferred Skills
- Advanced ServiceNow certifications, including CIS in one or more product lines (ITSM or SPM) or ArchX.
- Governance and performance tuning best practices DevOps practices / CI-CD pipelines, including Source control (Git).
- Experience administrating and utilizing App Engine Studio and UI Builder.
- Data modeling & table design.
Additional Information
- Hiring Range: At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $$140,000-$150,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
