About the role

We are GDIT. As a leading IT and mission services provider for the government, we empower organizations to realize their potential. At GDIT, you can own your opportunity to make an impact by transforming obstacles into innovative solutions. We are currently seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our team supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). CMS has a strong focus on innovation, automation, and leveraging the full potential of the ServiceNow platform. If you possess strong technical skills and a passion for continuous learning, this role might be a great match for you. Your Impact: As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you’ll design and build innovative solutions while ensuring system reliability and efficiency.

About Our Work: We are GDIT. A global technology and professional services company that delivers technology solutions and mission services to every major agency across the U.S. government, defense and intelligence community. Our 26,000 experts extract the power of technology to create immediate value and deliver solutions at the edge of innovation. We operate across 50+ countries worldwide, offering leading mission-ready capabilities in AI, cloud, cyber and software development.

But we might be duplicating. Could combine. Better: About the role: include the description about GDIT, CMS, impact, and maybe about our work. Responsibilities: list.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications, ensuring best practices in workflows, integrations, automations, access controls, the Service Catalog, and more.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy solutions that meet business needs.
  • Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other applications using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, and other methods.
  • Utilize AI developer tools (such as ServiceNow SDK, Fluent, or similar tools) to accelerate the delivery of JavaScript, ServiceNow scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes), and configurations.
  • Participate in code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Troubleshoot and ensure system reliability through robust design, comprehensive testing, and responsiveness to any issues.
  • Create and maintain clear, detailed technical documentation for applications, APIs, and processes.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in ServiceNow to recommend and implement innovative system improvements.
Requirements: include clearance, public trust, experience, US citizenship not required, maybe job family? We'll include.

Requirements

  • Type of Requisition: Regular
  • Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: None
  • Clearance Level Must Be Able To Obtain: None
  • Public Trust/Other Required: NACI (T1)
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust: candidate must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years and pass a public trust background investigation.
  • Experience: 6+ years of related experience
  • US Citizenship Required: No
  • Job Family: Software Engineering
But we might be including metadata that is not substantive? The instruction: "Do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short

or drop it." So we can include these as list items under Requirements? Might be okay. However they said "fold minor metadata into a short

or drop it." So maybe we should not list each metadata as separate list items; we could combine into a paragraph. But we need to preserve ALL substantive information. The metadata like Type of Requisition, Clearance levels, etc. are substantive? They are minor metadata. The instruction says we can fold minor metadata into a short

or drop it. So we could include a short paragraph summarizing: "Type of Requisition: Regular; Clearance Level: None required; Public Trust/Other Required: NACI (T1); US Citizenship not required; 6+ years of related experience; Job Family: Software Engineering." That preserves info. Thus for Requirements we could have a paragraph. But we also have Required Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications which are more substantive. We'll put those under Qualifications. Skills: list of ServiceNow modules. Let's extract Skills: "ServiceNow AI Search, ServiceNow Discovery, ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM), ServiceNow Now Assist, ServiceNow Platform". That's it. We'll output:

Skills

  • ServiceNow AI Search
  • ServiceNow Discovery
  • ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM)
  • ServiceNow Now Assist
  • ServiceNow Platform
Qualifications: include Required Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications. We need to preserve all details from Required Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications. Let's copy Required Qualifications text: "To be successful in this role, candidates should have the following: 6+ years of full software development lifecycle (SDLC) experience with a strong emphasis on JavaScript.Proven experience as a developer outside the ServiceNow platform, with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Expertise in advanced ServiceNow development, including:Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, and UI Pages.
