UDR, Inc. and its affiliated companies are seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team at Huntington Vista, a 220-home apartment community in Huntington Beach, CA.

Responsibilities
- Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the community, including grounds, amenities, building exteriors/interiors, market-ready units, breezeways, curbs, signage, leasing office, central garbage areas, parking lots, and other common areas, ensuring they are free of debris, trash, graffiti, and other items that affect appearance.
- Report all deficiencies and risk management safety issues immediately.
- Respond to resident requests for maintenance and service by repairing and/or restoring service within established quality and time standards.
- Prepare apartments for occupancy by performing electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, carpet cleaning, painting, patching, texturing, basic apartment cleaning, and other miscellaneous equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working order; request replacements as necessary and assist in stocking inventory.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager with ordering supplies and equipment to maintain appropriate inventory levels within budget guidelines.
- Assist with scheduling and supervising contractors.
- Train and mentor new Maintenance Technicians and/or Apprentices.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, confirming their expectations are fulfilled.
- Identify, communicate, and implement opportunities to improve resident happiness and service.
- Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
- Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
Requirements
- Maintenance experience in multi-family, hospitality, or a similar industry.
- Competency in residential plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, painting, and drywall.
- Knowledge of and experience in carpentry (a plus).
- Customer service experience.
- Proficient in the use of modern technology, especially computers and smartphones.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to handle rotating on-call responsibility.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Pay
Hourly range: $28/hr. – $31/hr., depending on experience.
