The Senior Service Engineer role at Microsoft involves joining the Secure Cloud Access group to tackle complex challenges in mission-critical distributed systems. The team focuses on enabling secure access and transfer between enclaves while supporting various capabilities in highly regulated industries. Engineers will work on service automation, reliability improvements, and cloud engineering, ensuring systems meet stringent security policies. This position offers the opportunity to build and support Azure services for customers in both public and private sectors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems engineering.
- Candidates must have an active TS clearance and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI with polygraph.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements.
Responsibilities
- Respond to incidents during on-call rotations by troubleshooting issues and deploying fixes.
- Demonstrate understanding of service design and interactions between technology layers.
- Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Author and maintain IaC templates for deploying networking and security controls.
- Stay current with technology trends related to cloud networking and automation.
- Share insights and best practices to improve system development and operations.
