Senior SEO Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Primary Product Stakeholder for Advanced SEO/GEO by serving as the internal expert on SEO/GEO strategy, best practices, and product development opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., WIT, CST) to deliver exceptional client experiences and ensure SEO/GEO initiatives align with client goals and business objectives
  • Take on learning initiatives to address team and organizational knowledge gaps and industry changes related to SEO/GEO by researching emerging trends, testing new strategies, and sharing knowledge across the organization
  • Provide comprehensive training for new team members, equipping them with the tools and knowledge to contribute effectively to the SEO/GEO team's success
  • Execute tasks, perform research on, and conduct regular audits of client websites to identify SEO/GEO issues and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations that improve performance and visibility
  • Client Communication: This role includes direct communication with clients. The Senior SEO Specialist will provide strategic recommendations, explain SEO/GEO performance and opportunities, answer client questions, and serve as a trusted advisor on search-related initiatives
  • Team Collaboration: This position works closely with team members across Digital Ads, Client Success, Website and Integration, Product, and other departments to deliver exceptional results for clients

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of SEO principles and best practices, including technical SEO, on-page optimization, local SEO, and content strategy
  • Five or more (5+) years experience working in a client-facing SEO or marketing role, providing recommendations and strategic guidance to external clients
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively explain complex SEO/GEO concepts to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay current with evolving search technologies, algorithms, and AI-driven search experiences

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with SEO platforms and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, BrightLocal, or similar technologies
  • Experience conducting technical SEO audits and implementing recommendations to improve website performance and search visibility
  • Experience training, mentoring, or onboarding team members, helping others develop their SEO knowledge and skills
  • Experience with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), AI-powered search, or emerging search technologies is highly preferred
