Responsibilities
- Lead projects as a project manager or lead designer for the delivery of large and highly complex projects with minimal support required from senior staff.
- Work closely with a team of engineers and consultants to provide project direction, engineering solutions, and advice to clients to ensure positive outcomes.
- Engage in engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of security and low-voltage technology (ICT) systems in mission critical facilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.
- Perform site assessments and generate detailed analysis and technical reports.
- Communicate technical information effectively to clients.
- Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
- Provide in-process design reviews of security, and other low-voltage building systems design, calculations, and specifications.
- Implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards, and client requirements.
- Provide technical training and mentoring.
- Resolve field issues with minimal support from senior staff.
- Contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG.
- Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work.
- Identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with low-voltage technology ICT systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals.
- Participate in project interviews and project presentations.
Requirements
- Mastery of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications.
- Mastery of technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles relating to electrical voltage and current, digital and analog signals, basic IT networking topologies and protocols, as it relates to security and other low-voltage systems design for buildings.
- Strong training, mentoring and leadership skills.
- Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to adapt to new challenges.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or related Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, related STEM field, or equivalent required.
- 10 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the building design consulting industry OR Associates degree, or certificate, in Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Engineering preferred.
- 14 years of experience minimum required, 16 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Regular hours with occasional travel and overnight stays.
