Senior Security Officer

About the role

MTC operates the Centennial Job Corps Center in Nampa, ID, providing quality services to local youth.

Responsibilities

• Perform security officer duties and provide supervision to protect life and property.
• Ensure physical security by checking doors, windows, lights, electrical appliances, equipment, locks, and emergency equipment.
• Assure accountability of students, staff, and visitors by scheduling guard station coverage.
• Advise and train security officers in security procedures.
• Avoid and suppress fires by assisting in their transport and reporting.
• Act as a liaison with neighboring law enforcement and fire agencies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years' experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency required.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
