Senior Security Consultant
About the role
Provides System Integration security architecture design and collaborates with the client to document security standards and provide security architecture advice and oversight to module vendors in support of module solution development, integration, and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Adheres to State security standards
- Communicates with State Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)
- Complies with HIPAA, HITECH, and NIST requirements
- Complies with IRS Federal Tax Information
Requirements
- Holds CISM, GIAC, or CISSP certification
- At least five (5) years of similar experience
Qualifications
- Minimum ten (10) years of combined, progressive experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or IT security
- Senior advisory, advanced practitioner, or program-level leadership responsibilities
- Security architecture, security and privacy risk assessments across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and production environments
- IT governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) experience
- Drafting and maintaining security and privacy documentation
- Conducting security and privacy risk assessments
- Developing and supporting Security Incident Response Plans, System Security & Privacy Plans (SSPPs), Risk Assessments and POA&M remediation strategies
- Extensive experience evaluating, recommending, and supporting the implementation of cybersecurity tools and technologies
- Supporting U.S. Federal programs or agencies, particularly within regulated healthcare or public-sector environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Skills
- Strong working knowledge of Federal cybersecurity frameworks and standards
- Experience acting as a cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) on large-scale, government-funded or highly regulated programs
- Client and vendor collaboration experience within consulting or advisory environments

Pay
The starting pay range for this remote role is $97,864-145,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
