About the role
This position is intended for the new Cloud and Power focused U.S. public company that will be established through the upcoming spin-off of the existing Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment of Flex Ltd. This is a unique opportunity to join during the company's formative stage and help shape the processes, culture, and capabilities that will support its long-term success. This position is based in Austin, Texas.
What a typical day looks like
- Assist with the preparation, review, and timely filing of the Company's SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, with primary responsibility for assigned footnotes, MD&A sections, and supporting schedules.
- Compile and analyze financial and nonfinancial information used in SEC filings and coordinate with finance, accounting, legal, and other business partners to ensure disclosures are complete and accurate.
- Perform research on new and proposed SEC and FASB accounting and disclosure requirements, document conclusions, and assist with updating disclosures and accounting policies.
- Coordinate directly with internal and external auditors and prepare supporting documentation for SEC reporting and related audit requirements.
- Support SOX compliance over SEC reporting, including the preparation of control documentation, disclosure checklists, and variance analyses related to the monthly and quarterly close.
- Assist with accounting and disclosure matters involving equity, stock-based compensation, earnings per share, goodwill, acquisitions, and other complex or nonroutine transactions.
- Support special projects and process improvements related to external reporting and broader corporate accounting activities.
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Accounting (or equivalent).
- 5+ years of experience in a financial reporting/accounting role, including SEC reporting, at a public company or a public accounting firm.
- CPA license is preferred.
- Experience with OneStream and Workiva is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and working knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and 10-Q/10-K filing mechanics.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent cross team communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across finance, tax, and audit teams.
