Senior SDE, Last Mile Delivery

About the role

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to help build the future of last mile delivery at Amazon. In this role, you will architect and develop our sensor data platform that powers Amazon's autonomous delivery fleet, processing petabyte-scale data from LiDAR, cameras, IMUs, GPS, and control signals across every delivery mission.

Responsibilities

• Play an important role in developing the data infrastructure that enables next-generation delivery technology, working on challenging problems at unprecedented scale.
• Work on challenging problems at unprecedented scale, powering 15+ downstream teams across ML training, operations analytics, post-mission diagnostics, and visualization.
• Shape architecture decisions from the ground up, with direct collaboration with autonomy teams building the next generation of delivery technology.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Skills

• Full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $168,100.00 - $227,400.00 annually.
