Senior Scientist- Stewart lab

Job Responsibilities

• Conducts experiments/projects independently under the overall direction of the PI and/or more senior scientist
• Develops new research protocols, techniques, and procedures
• Identifies experimental data pertinent to the analysis problem
• Processes, organizes, and summarizes data, reporting these experimental results
• Maintains the quality and integrity of recorded information and data
• Interprets data as it relates to research problem
• Publishes as co-author and/or drafts sections of research manuscripts as necessary
• Presents research to colleagues within the organization or at external meetings/events
• Supports and oversees the work of others in laboratory techniques and procedures
• Troubleshoots instrument and equipment issues
• Provides input into lab operation processes and procedures
• Recommends equipment acquisition and decommissioning

Requirements

• Strong background in preclinical testing
• Excellent organizational skills

Qualifications

• Minimum Education and/or Training: Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific area is required
• Minimum Experience: Ten (10) years relevant work experience is required

Pay

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $104,000 - $186,160 per year for the role of Senior Scientist- Stewart lab.
