Senior Scientist, Quantitative Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics

About the role

As the Senior Scientist, Quantitative Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics, you will contribute clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics expertise to research and development programs, working closely with cross-functional program teams. This role offers flexibility to work away from the office for 20%–40% of a typical schedule. Employees may use this work schedule in increments of single days or multiple consecutive days, provided it does not exceed 40% within a 60-day period, and is approved by the hiring manager.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, document, and quality-check routine pharmacometrics analyses under guidance from senior team members.
• Contribute to the development, validation, execution, and interpretation of population PK, exposure–response, PK-PD, PBPK, time-to-event, survival, and disease progression models to support dose selection, regimen optimization, and trial design.
• Prepare model code, diagnostics, tables, figures, reports, and presentations in a reproducible and well-documented manner.
• Communicate the pharmacometrics analysis results to program teams to support data-driven decision making process.
• Contribute quantitative clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics content for regulatory submissions, including INDs, CTAs, and BLAs, and support responses to agency questions on modeling and simulation deliverables.
• Support the advancement of quantitative clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics capabilities, including model-informed drug development approaches, tools, workflows, and best practices.

Requirements

• PhD in Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical Science or related discipline.
• Approximately 2+ years of relevant experience applying quantitative methods to drug development questions; relevant academic, internship, postdoctoral, or industry experience may be considered.
• Hands-on experience with pharmacometrics and data analysis tools such as NONMEM, Monolix, R, or similar software.
• Ability to work with clinical and nonclinical data, perform model diagnostics, and generate clear, reproducible analyses.
• Understanding of antibody therapeutics development, oncology, or immunology is considered beneficial.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to explain quantitative concepts to multidisciplinary audiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills, scientific curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced biotechnology environment.

Pay

The proposed salary band for this position is $138,720.00–$208,080.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives.
