Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain construction schedules, including regular updates and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform site inspections to evaluate progress and confirm schedule status.
- Conduct forensic review of schedules and contemporaneous project documentation (including costs, productivity data, and relevant records).
- Perform delay analysis to determine the cause, extent, and impact of delays; support resolution of delay claims.
- Assess change impacts, extended general conditions, expediting expenses, and related schedule/cost implications; communicate conclusions clearly.
- Prepare clear technical reports and deliverables for clients and internal teams.
- Maintain organized job files, documentation, and project records.
- Cook regularly with internal staff, contractors, and clients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5-7 years of construction scheduling experience.
- PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional) certification.
- Experience supporting NAVFAC, USACE, and CBP projects.
- Strong working knowledge of CPM scheduling and schedule analysis methods.
- Proficiency with scheduling tools including Microsoft Project, Oracle Primavera P6, and Asta Powerproject.
- Exposure to construction claims management and contractor management.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders (clients, contractors, and internal teams).
- Willingness to travel up to 30% - 50% (approximately one week per month to Panama City, FL, plus weekly travel to a military base outside Sacramento).
- Federal construction experience (ex., military installations, border infrastructure or similar large-scale programs).
