Senior SAP Functional Analyst

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Functional Analyst Associate - Senior to support the design, configuration, implementation, testing, and deployment of SAP solutions across key business initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP functional design, configuration, implementation, testing, and deployment activities.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements by collaborating with business users and stakeholders.
• Configure SAP Financial modules based on business requirements and SAP best practices.
• Participate in full lifecycle SAP implementation, enhancement, and integration projects.
• Prepare functional specifications and work closely with ABAP developers on custom developments.
• Cook up unit testing, system integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Analyze production issues and provide functional support for SAP applications.
• Develop functional design documents, configuration documentation, and business process documentation.
• Support SAP change management and release management activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex SAP issues and ensure seamless module integration.
• Maintain SAP documentation and contribute to the knowledge repository.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of SAP Functional Analyst experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on SAP Financial configuration experience.
• Strong experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Hands-on expertise in:
• SAP Funds Management (FM)
• SAP Grants Management (GM)
• SAP Order-to-Cash (O2C)
• SAP Financial Accounting (FI)
• SAP Controlling (CO)
• SAP Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with at least two full-cycle SAP implementations.
• Strong experience writing functional specifications and working with ABAP development teams.
• Experience facilitating business requirement gathering workshops.
• Knowledge of SAP change management and release management processes.
• Ability to estimate project timelines, effort, and resource requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in client-focused project delivery environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of SAP Functional Analyst experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on SAP Financial configuration experience.
• Strong experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Hands-on expertise in:
• SAP Funds Management (FM)
• SAP Grants Management (GM)
• SAP Order-to-Cash (O2C)
• SAP Financial Accounting (FI)
• SAP Controlling (CO)
• SAP Accounts Receivable (AR)

Skills

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• SAP Certification in FI/CO or related Financial modules.
• Experience with SAP Funds Management and Grants Management in public sector or transportation organizations.
• Knowledge of SAP landscape and RICEFW objects.
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager.
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
• Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma.
• Functional knowledge of General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Project Systems (PS), Materials Management (MM), and Procure-to-Pay (P2P).
