Job Responsibilities

  • Own the technical health and architecture of the Salesforce environment.
  • Maintain sound development standards and release management discipline.
  • Partner with the Head of Commercial (GTM/Rev) Ops to translate business priorities into a sequenced backlog.
  • Operate independently within agreed priorities, surfacing risks and trade-offs proactively.
  • Own ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancement of Salesforce CPQ, including product configuration, pricing logic, quote templates, and approval workflows.
  • Design and build custom Apex, Lightning Web Components, and integrations to extend native CPQ functionality.
  • Partner with Finance and Sales Ops on Quote-to-Cash improvements, including billing system integrations and renewal automation.
  • Serve as a senior Salesforce administrator, managing users, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and security configuration for globally distributed teams.
  • Handle day-to-day platform support including Flows, Agentforce, field changes, layouts, validations, and report and dashboard builds.
  • Manage sandbox environments and release cycles, ensuring smooth deployment of changes.
  • Provide end-user support and triage for the Sales, Finance, Customer Success, and Support teams.
  • Support the Service Cloud build-out and ongoing development, including case management, knowledge base, Agentforce, and customer-facing portals.
  • Ensure consistent data architecture and user experience across Sales, CPQ, and Service Cloud.
  • Design and build integrations between Salesforce and adjacent systems including our ERP (Business Central), data warehouse (SQL Server), and analytics platform (Hex).
  • Develop API-based integrations using REST, SOAP, Platform Events, and middleware patterns.
  • Maintain integration reliability and observability across the data pipeline.
  • Evaluate emerging tools and capabilities, including orchestration platforms and AI-assisted workflows, and recommend additions to the stack.
  • Help plan and execute the eventual migration from legacy Salesforce CPQ.
  • Contribute to data quality, governance, and reporting initiatives that support board-level revenue analytics.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience spanning both development and administration, with at least 2 years supporting production CPQ.
  • Strong Apex and SOQL development experience, and proficiency with Lightning Web Components.
  • Proven Salesforce administration experience, including user management, security model, flows, validation rules, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and building integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and middleware tools.
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously, scope your own work, and lead technical decisions without close management.
  • Experience with Service Cloud configuration and development.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Service Cloud Administrator, Platform Developer II, and CPQ Specialist certifications.
  • Migration experience from legacy CPQ.
  • SaaS or financial services industry background.
  • Familiarity with SQL and/or python.
