Responsibilities
- Successfully complete assigned objectives of designated sales area while supporting the Area Manager and helping develop all staff assigned to the sales group
- Relieve route personnel
- Train associates
- Present established and effective sales training methods, techniques, and ideas
- Sell and execute at store level
- Address complaints and resolve problems
- Provide excellent customer service
- Report on progress of sales trainees and personnel under guidance during training period
- Work with all functional team members
- Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED’s Fleet policy
- DOT Certification required
- Class A CDL preferred
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
- Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
- Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
- Previous Merchandising experience preferred
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to problem-solve and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Build strong relationships with customer base across assigned customers
Schedule
Monday-Friday (possible weekends), 6am until work is complete.
