Senior Sales Manager, Retail & Builder Channel - Northwest

About the team
The Retail & Builder channel within Whirlpool Corporation manages over $4B in business across independent retail, contract builders, and distributors. The Northwest Region covers Oregon and Washington and includes 13 Market Managers, 2 Top Account sales managers, 2 Market Development Representatives, and 2 New Business Development Managers, delivering approximately 550k units and $450M in annual net sales.
Responsibilities
- Lead 12 market managers and 2 Market Development Representatives.
- Master the regional P&L with ownership of market manager and MDR quota attainment.
- Provide thought leadership in creating retail and contract/builder strategies with regional leadership (RSD, BDISR, NBDM).
- Execute strategies and deliver results, prioritizing quarterly objectives for strong retail and contract/builder growth.
- Provide leadership for Ferguson, Whirlpool’s largest ACD, driving accountability for prospecting and delivering outside contract and inside showroom sales.
- Foster positive people leader experiences, making the region a destination for top talent.
- Create a transparent, open culture of sharing best practices and constructive feedback.
- Own the performance management process for direct reports: EPE, objective setting, and quota development.
- Drive operational excellence in partnership with the sales operations team and other process partners.
- Develop thought leadership with a solutions-driven, continuous improvement mindset.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives delivering operational enhancements.
- Build strong relationships across Sr. Manager peer set & NBDM teams, ensuring collaboration and a culture of learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of strategic selling and negotiating in the home appliance marketplace.
