Senior Sales Manager, Events

The Senior Sales Manager, Events will manage and oversee sales within a specific portfolio in the Life Sciences Division of Informa Connect. This role involves developing and cultivating relationships with clients, cross-selling products and services, and collaborating with key team members including marketing, production, technical services, and operations teams. You will embrace flexibility, educate customers on portfolio benefits, and help maintain Informa Connect’s leading position in sales.
Responsibilities
- Work with senior management to identify, plan, and execute strategic sales plans with weekly forecasts and accurate updates.
- Report accurate forecasts and performance metrics to key internal and external stakeholders, highlighting revenue risks and opportunities.
- Maintain personal sales responsibilities in acquiring new business and managing key client relationships.
- Deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions based on a deep understanding of the bioprocess landscape and competitor market.
- Lead internal coordination of portfolio event targets.
- Mentor the portfolio event sales team by driving sales initiatives to achieve targets.
- Monitor and update Salesforce in real time, ensuring best practices are adopted to maximize system integrity and output.
Requirements
- 7+ years of demonstrated success selling sponsorship packages for large-scale B2B events; tradeshow/exhibition experience preferable.
- Demonstrated consultative sales process in handling complex briefs, responding with considered and creative solutions.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at a senior level.
- Comfortable in cross-selling and up-selling to acquire new business and grow existing accounts.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce.com or similar systems, with experience leading and encouraging team members to maintain system integrity.

Pay
The pay range for this role is $100,000–$115,000 plus commission.
Schedule
This role operates in-person with colleagues, customers, or partners three days a week or more, with flexibility to work from home or remotely on other days.
