About the role

The Sales Engineer will support Senior Sales Engineers and Account Managers within Zebra's Healthcare vertical. Their primary responsibility is to define and lead the strategic technical direction for Healthcare enterprise accounts. They will have direct access to the latest technology from Zebra Technologies and its vendor partners.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Senior Sales Engineers with defining and leading the strategic technical direction for Healthcare enterprise accounts.
  • Develops strong relationships with the sales, engineering, and product management teams to support executing the technology strategy for Healthcare enterprise accounts.
  • Works with industry experts and engineering peers to fuel self-development and career growth within Zebra Technologies.
  • Provides valuable learning opportunities for those newer in their sales engineering careers.
  • Resides in the east coast with the ability to travel approximately 50% to cover the following territory: NJ, DE, MD, DC, VA, NC.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in sales engineering/pre-sales or an applicable technical-related role (software development, application development, etc.)
  • Must be technically savvy with a sales mentality
  • Must reside in the east coast with the ability to travel approximately 50%

Preferred Requirements

  • Some exposure in a sales-related role
  • General understanding of networking architecture and technologies
  • Demonstrated experience presenting to B2B customers with strong communication skills
  • Experience in the healthcare field
  • Expertise in security schemes, architectures, and implementations
  • Expertise in software development
  • Expertise in VOIP technologies

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience

  • Obtains profitable revenue growth via value proposition vs. competition
  • Uses full knowledge of customer's business and market economics/trends to position effectively versus competition
  • Solves routine problems of moderate complexity (e.g. verifying technical compatibility)
  • Typically medium complexity (e.g. value proposition vs. competition), but may have some complex projects that require unique coordination of technical resources
  • Takes direction from Group Manager and Directors
  • Acts independently or as a team lead for ad-hoc teams
  • Responsible for influencing the customer to purchase moderate size projects
  • Operational strategies for success and competitors
  • Responsible for individual revenue attainment with established prices and personal expenses
  • Moderate to average individual quota size for business and like roles
  • Many transactions with some moderately complex deals
  • Medium/mid-term impact for Zebra

Pay

$105,680.00 - $158,520.00 Annual
In addition to base pay, this role offers an opportunity to earn variable compensation in the form of commission for achieving quota, at 25%, in accordance with the terms of the applicable sales incentive plan.
