Job Summary Equinix is seeking a highly experienced Senior Sales Engineer to join the Network Service Provider (NSP) vertical within the Americas Solutions Engineering organization. In this customer-facing role, the Senior Sales Engineer serves as a trusted technical advisor supporting strategic opportunities across a portfolio of Network Service Provider accounts. Working in close partnership with Account Executives, the Senior Sales Engineer leads technical discovery, qualification, solution development, and customer engagement efforts focused on Equinix's data center and interconnection portfolio. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in data center infrastructure, networking, cloud, and interconnection with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer business outcomes. This role requires strong technical leadership, consultative selling skills, and the ability to independently drive technical strategy across multiple customer engagements. Responsibilities Position Equinix's Global Digital Infrastructure Introduce the value and promise of Equinix's global digital infrastructure, including reach, reliability, and interconnectionPosition Equinix capabilities and communicate the company's differentiated advantageStorytell foundational digital infrastructure capabilities across data center and digital services offerings, including managed servicesArticulate product and service fundamentals that support customer solutionsTranslate complex technical concepts into clear customer-focused outcomes and business languageUnlock value for customers through Equinix ecosystems, partners, and interconnection opportunitiesLead technical discovery, validation, and qualification activitiesOwn the technical engagement process and technical win strategy while partnering closely with Account ExecutivesBuild technical account plans and participate in account reviewsEstablish trusted advisor relationships with technical stakeholders across customer organizations Deliver Data Center Solutions Identify customer business requirements and technical needs related to space, power, and interconnectionServe as a Data Center Services subject matter expert capable of articulating and positioning the full portfolioSupport customer sustainability discussions and articulate Equinix's sustainability strategyLead opportunity actioning activities, including quoting, RFP responses, data center tours, capacity reviews, and space solutioningDeliver customer whiteboarding sessions and solution design discussionsOwn and drive the technical win for assigned opportunitiesDeliver professional customer-facing technical documentation and solution deliverablesMaintain knowledge of the competitive landscape across retail service providers, wholesale developments, and partner ecosystemsStay current on emerging data center technologies and market trends, including liquid cooling, AI-driven infrastructure requirements, power, density, and PUE considerationsParticipate in Solutions Engineering Communities through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and team enablement activities Drive Interconnection Value Selling Articulate the capabilities and value of Equinix's interconnection portfolio, including physical and virtual interconnection solutionsHelp customers and transform infrastructure strategies through interconnection across their value chainsServe as the technical pre-sales resource for interconnection opportunities What Success Looks Like The Senior Sales Engineer operates with autonomy across a portfolio of accounts and leads technical aspects of mid-sized to complex customer engagements. The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are: United States - DE1 Denver : 114,000 - 171,000 USD / Annual United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 114,000 - 171,000 USD / Annual United States - Chicago Office CHO1 : 126,000 - 188,000 USD / Annual United States - Ashburn Office AEO : 126,000 - 188,000 USD / Annual Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. The targeted pay range listed reflects On-Target Earnings or OTE, which is base pay plus commissions, and does not include equity or benefits. Equity may be offered depending on the position.
