Reporting to the Unit Sales Manager, Balticare Inc., the Senior Sales Engineer drives equipment sales by engaging consulting engineering firms, owners, and contractors to meet revenue targets and implement marketing strategies in the New York City marketplace.
Responsibilities
- Generates sales of equipment and controls for products represented by Balticare to meet fiscal year sales and margin goals.
- Builds basis-of-design and preference for Balticare product lines among consulting engineering firms, building owners, and contractors.
- Maintains and expands relationships with consulting engineering firms, building owners, contractors, industry influencers, and key strategic partners.
- Designs and delivers marketing and educational training modules for consulting engineering firms and contractors.
- Oversees proposal preparation, purchase order execution, equipment submittals, shipment communication, and start-up/owner training.
- Manages large, strategically significant projects in the assigned region.
- Tracks and reports local market conditions, competitive activities, and tactical marketing requirements.
- Promotes Balticare through customer presentations and active participation in local ASHRAE chapters.
- Identifies and communicates product needs based on customer feedback.
- Assists in warranty administration and commercial terms requirements.
- Monitors competitor products, sales, and marketing activities.
- Mentors and develops other sales staff as required.
- Supports factory visit requests from engineering consulting firms, building owners, and contractors.
Requirements
- Five years of direct sales experience selling to the HVAC engineering and contracting community in the New York City marketplace.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering discipline.
- Proven expertise in capital sales, marketing, and lead generation within the HVAC industry.
- Strong technical, organizational, communication, and customer problem-resolution skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with executives, engineers, analysts, and other business professionals.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working Conditions

Pay
$118,080 - $202,680
