About the role
Stantec is seeking a Senior Roadway Project Manager to join our team in South Carolina. The position offers opportunities to lead and manage roadway improvement projects, particularly in South Carolina and the Southeast.
Responsibilities
- Client liaison of key transportation clients, including SCDOT and local clients.
- Identify and track potential projects and teaming opportunities for conventional design, Design-Build, and P3 procurement.
- Pursue leadership for identified opportunities, including pipeline database population, client meeting organization, and teaming relationships.
- Support in developing the value proposition and winning projects through regular client meetings and strategic planning.
- Technical oversight of the proposal process, including scope, fee, and schedule negotiations.
- Leadership and support in identifying key teaming partners, assisting in the development of the overall project delivery team, and collaborating with other disciplines and geographies.
- Commitment to committee/leadership roles in professional societies, such as ACEC, ASHE, and ITE.
- Participation in external marketing initiatives, including conferences, presentations, recruiting, training, etc.
- Project Management: Lead future roadway design projects as Project Manager, serve as Key Team Leader or Project Manager for Design-Build pursuits, coordinate with design teams, subconsultants, vendors, and other project partners, and ensure projects are on schedule and budget.
- Staff Leadership: Recruit and hire key transportation staff, provide input into the employee performance review, compensation, and bonus processes for direct reports, encourage project collaboration, workload coordination, and cross training, and provide project leadership through direct technical involvement and design decisions.
Requirements
- Completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
- A minimum of 15 years relevant experience.
- South Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) registration.

Pay
The pay range for this position is provided for locations where required. Final compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Stantec also offers bonuses to eligible employees.
Schedule
This position is full-time and requires a mix of remote work (2 days per week) and office work (3 days per week).
