About the Role
RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a full-time Senior RF Test Systems Engineer to support Surveillance & Tactical Radar Solutions (STaRS) Test Automation. The Test Automation Department (TAD) designs and develops test equipment, hardware, and software for a wide range of products. The STaRS Test Automation team delivers innovative, cost-effective solutions for production and qualification environments, including legacy system redesigns and obsolescence management.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot test equipment, circuit boards, cables, and related hardware.
- Work independently to drive projects toward goals and optimize performance.
- Analyze test data to develop solutions or alternative methods for improved efficiency.
- Facilitate project tasks across functional teams to align with overall objectives.
- Collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment (electrical, software, mechanical, etc.).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in Automation Test Equipment/Unit Under Test (ATE/UUT) Test Systems Engineering.
- Experience in hardware and test software development, integration, verification, validation, and maintenance within production/manufacturing or product qualification environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of RF technology in Communications and Radar systems.
- Experience with Agile Methodologies.
- Proficiency in test software such as MATLAB, Test Stand, or Test Executive.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $86,800 – $165,200 USD, commensurate with experience, location, and other factors. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
