We are seeking a Senior Research Scientist with technical experience in systematic literature reviews and/or indirect treatment comparisons (e.g., NMA, MAIC, STC) for health technology assessment submissions. Responsibilities
- Subject Matter Expertise/Domain Knowledge:
- Demonstrate understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, medical affairs, and health technology assessment requirements.
- Oversee systematic literature reviews (clinical, economic, and/or health-related quality of life) and/or quantitative evidence synthesis studies.
- Identify and communicate considerations relevant to evidence synthesis within deliverables (e.g., feasibility assessments, statistical analysis plans).
- Deliverable Creation:
- Develop client-ready deliverables including protocols, statistical analysis plans, technical reports, and slides.
- Strategic Direction:
- Contribute to short-term resourcing discussions.
- Project Management:
- Manage project components by collaborating with team members to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Ensure timely delivery and financial performance of projects or subcomponents.
- Estimate required hours, identify challenges early, and propose solutions to the project lead.
- Client Management:
- Review update slides, minutes, and actions for client studies.
- Lead client calls and respond to emails, involving senior team members as needed.
- Line Management/Team Development:
- Create development plans and mentor direct reports.
- Business Development:
- Contribute to proposal and presentation development under guidance of senior team members.
- Participate in new business meetings, including concept ideation.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in health services research (e.g., health economics, public policy, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, or science such as biology/biochemistry).
- 4-6 years of professional experience.
Skills
- Willingness and desire to learn and share knowledge.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EndNote.
- Proficiency in R/R Shiny (advantageous).
Pay
Reasonable estimate of the current compensation range: $100,000 USD - $140,000 USD.
