Senior Research Scientist

Radiance Technologies is seeking a Senior Research Scientist to advance data processing techniques and algorithms for Electro‑Optical (EO), Infrared (IR), and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data. The role supports sensor data analysis by developing and improving methods for detection, tracking, and Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) of targets captured by sensors.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop image and signal processing techniques to solve complex EO/IR and SAR ATR sensing challenges.
• Perform R&D to enhance performance of detection, tracking, and ATR algorithms on remotely sensed data.
• Collaborate with teams to develop and deploy capabilities for prototype Near Real Time (NRT) systems.
• Provide input to analysis reports and briefings on algorithm enhancements and tool development.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, MATLAB, C/C++.
• Experience and understanding of EO/IR/RF signatures, ATR, and machine‑learning methods specific to remote‑sensing applications.
• Working knowledge of state‑of‑the‑art ML techniques for detection, tracking, and ATR.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in an R&D and data‑analysis environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Required Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance.
• MS in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Desired Qualifications

• Active TS//SCI Clearance with CI Polygraph.
• PhD in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
