Senior Research Associate - Semiconductors

About the role

Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., a leading mid-tier investment bank, is currently seeking an equity research associate to support our Semiconductors team. The position is located in New York City.

Responsibilities

• Work in conjunction with and support the senior research analyst in all aspects of developing and marketing equity research products, including company research reports, models, and industry analysis on the Semiconductor supply chain.
• Independently build and maintain integrated I/S, B/S, and C/F models.
• Organize and maintain industry data.
• Write and produce company initiations, equity research reports, and marketing presentations.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing and organizing tasks effectively.
• Use PC skills, including strong Excel skills and a fair command of Word, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, and FactSet.

Requirements

• At least two years of Equity Research experience, Semiconductors preferred.
• A strong background in finance and accounting.
• Proficiency in modeling companies.
• A passion for equity research.

Qualifications

• Detailed-oriented.
• Possesses strong writing and analytical skills.
• Can work independently and initiate projects with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong sales and communication skills.

Compensation For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the City of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
