Senior Associate - Semiconductors/Software/Hardware

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver technology consulting to law firms and corporates in semiconductors (e.g., VLSI, circuit design), telecom (e.g., 5G, networking), hardware, and software.
• Analyze patent portfolios, reverse-engineer claims, and resolve technical queries on chip design, RF systems, and protocols.
• Provide strategic technical advice on patent validity, infringement, and licensing.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align IP strategy with business objectives.
• Engage US clients via calls with experts, counsel, leaders, founders, and litigators.
• Publish thought leadership blogs and research reports on emerging tech.
• Build internal/external relationships; work hybrid in-person in Austin/virtual global teams.

Required Qualifications

• Education: BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Communications, Micro-electronics, VLSI, Computers, or related.
• Experience: 2-4 years in IP consulting, patent analysis, semiconductors, telecom, hardware/software R&D.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in semiconductor technologies (CMOS, FinFET, SoC), circuit design, telecom protocols (LTE/5G), patent claim analysis.
• Soft Skills: Expert technical research; explain complex tech simply; client management; multitasking under deadlines; entrepreneurial mindset.
• Travel required: Up to 40%
