This role involves defining reliability testing strategies, conducting tests, and performing stress-based MTBF analysis to provide initial reliability predictions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead reliability analysis and collaborate with design teams to ensure products meet reliability specifications.
  • Work with design teams and customers to understand and define reliability requirements.
  • Conduct design reviews and address design issues with the team.
  • Define reliability testing strategies, test plans, and conduct tests.
  • Complete stress-based MTBF analysis to provide initial reliability predictions.
  • Coordinate third-party performance and regulatory testing.
  • Train manufacturing partner personnel to conduct tests.
  • Perform failure analysis and generate failure reports.
  • Provide design guideline recommendations based on run-to-failure testing and stress vs. strength analysis.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop or improve durability test methodologies for enhanced product development efficiency.
  • Apply problem-solving and analytical skills to conduct failure analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering.

Skills

  • Hands-on experience with FMEA, Design for Reliability (DFR), DFT, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) concepts, particularly as they relate to process, property, and complex manufacturing systems.
