Senior Reliability Engineer

About the role

The Senior Reliability Lead will interface with the U.S. Government and program management on reliability program procedures and deliverables. They will coordinate the reliability team's efforts and develop reliability deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Interface with the USG and program management on Reliability program procedures and deliverables
• Coordinate the Reliability team's efforts on the project
• Develop Reliability deliverables
• Apply established reliability standards and methodologies to support system design and evaluation
• Develop reliability allocations and predictions
• Create and interpret Reliability Block Diagrams
• Conduct DFMEA/FMECA and fault tree analyses to identify and mitigate potential failure modes
• Perform duty cycle analyses and define endurance requirements
• Leverage strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve complex technical issues
• Utilize excellent oral and written communication skills to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
• Employ strong negotiation skills to influence design decisions and align cross-functional teams around reliability objectives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Systems, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or other engineering discipline with relevant reliability experience
• Master's degree desired
• 10 to 15 years of reliability experience required
• Preferred: Certified Reliability Engineer
• Knowledge of reliability standards required
• Experience developing reliability allocations and predictions, creating and interpreting Reliability Block Diagrams
• Experience conducting DFMEA/FMECA and fault tree analyses
• Experience with duty cycle analysis and endurance requirements
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to meet objectives and performance metrics
• High standard of business ethics and professional conduct
• High capability to operate autonomously and problem solve complex matters
