About the role

Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Squarespace's core products and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test features that enhance user experience.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to ensure Squarespace remains at the forefront of digital creation platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in software development.
- Strong understanding of web development technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and familiarity with backend technologies.
Qualifications
- Passion for creating innovative solutions and a commitment to excellence in product development.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
- Experience with agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
