Responsibilities
- Managing local staff and teens to implement a calendar of impactful, high quality, fun and dynamic programs.
- Mentoring teens and providing leadership training throughout the school year.
- Sustaining and strengthening programming and engagement for chapter and regional teen leadership.
- Recruiting and training a team of volunteer advisors.
- Building a robust member recruitment process that expands the pipeline of prospects, aligns stakeholders, and prepares teens to invite other teens to join BBYO.
- Cooking up and coordinating large scale regional conventions and community-wide events.
- Managing and balancing a major programmatic budget and contracts.
- Seeking out and cultivating relationships with parents, alumni and community partners to mobilize more people to grow and support BBYO.
- Participating in organizational projects, teams, and summer programs as assigned to expand the movement and strengthen teen leadership.
- Leading teen leadership programs at summer camp.
- Flexing your creative muscles by executing new and noteworthy programming.
- Analyzing and utilizing data to drive decision making.
- Global thinking as you work with an international team across organizational and geographical boundaries.
- Connecting BBYO to the greater Chicago community.
- Assisting with fundraising efforts and relationship building across multiple communities.
Requirements
Essential Skills For Making a Lasting Impact:
- Experience: 5+ years of work experience
- Education: A bachelor's degree or higher
- Abilities: Management experience preferred. Experience with youth or teens is required
- Must reside in Chicago, IL area
- Ability to travel regularly throughout the region, to organization-wide events and to staff a summer leadership program at a location in the U.S. for 2-3 weeks each summer
- Ability to work non-traditional hours (some nights and weekends) when teens are available
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without holding a visa or sponsorship

Pay
Salary Range: $73,000-$84,000 annually, commensurate with experience. This position is also eligible to earn a performance-based bonus tied to the achievement of established metrics.
