Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Office Managing Partners and Practice Group Leaders to design and implement recruiting strategies that support the firm’s long-term growth and strengthen its market position on the West Coast, specifically focusing on partner recruitment for Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, and Seattle offices.
- Lead Seattle associate recruiting efforts.
- Cultivate strong relationships with leading search firms and industry contacts to ensure a steady pipeline of high-caliber lateral candidates.
- Leverage market insights to guide recruiting priorities and enhance competitive positioning.
- Deliver exceptional client service and high-quality work. Take initiative, anticipate needs, and exercise independent, sound judgment to effectively interface with candidates, search firms, and firm leadership.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of lateral attorney hiring—from sourcing and direct outreach to candidate engagement, screening, and offer negotiation—adhering to the firm’s lateral recruiting procedures and ensuring a seamless and professional experience for candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate all aspects of the interview process, including scheduling, feedback consolidation, and decision facilitation. Advise leadership on candidate evaluation and offer development.
- Prepare and deliver confidential documents and reports—including Policy Committee memos—to support partner recruiting and executive decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 10+ years of attorney recruiting experience, with specific expertise in partner recruiting, preferably in a law firm or legal search firm environment.
- Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and other attorney search tools; MS Office Suite required; familiarity with ViGlobal suite is a plus.
- Advanced interviewing techniques and strong understanding of attorney recruiting best practices.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Highest level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Pay
The expected annual salary for this position ranges from $175,000-195,000. The salary offered will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to experience level, education/training, and relevant skills.
