Under limited supervision, this position leads the recruitment function including outreach and partnership-building with community-based organizations and other recruitment resources to attract talented staff to the institution. Works collaboratively with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop customized sourcing and recruiting strategies to generate a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future staffing needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle recruitment and hiring in compliance with College policies, federal, state, and local laws, including job posting and evaluating applicants to develop a viable candidate pool.
- Utilize job boards, social media platforms, and innovative sourcing strategies to network and source passive candidates.
- Partner with college leaders, hiring managers, and key stakeholders to understand talent requirements and implement targeted job promotional and sourcing strategies.
- Assist with the interview process, including conducting or participating in interviews using reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods.
- Mine resume databases and the internet for passive talent, inviting qualified candidates to apply or share within their professional networks.
- Conduct pre-employment background checks, employment assessments, and reference checks while keeping candidates engaged.
- Work with hiring managers to anticipate staffing needs, including the offer process, to ensure a seamless hire transition.
- Conduct regular follow-up with managers to evaluate the effectiveness of recruiting efforts.
- Represent the college at job fairs and community outreach events to encourage applications for college positions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to departments on recruitment and staffing issues, training search committee members, hiring managers, and end-users on recruiting processes, policies, and federal guidelines.
- Prepare metrics to measure recruitment success and provide weekly status summaries of recruitment and sourcing activities.
- Serve on search committees to assist key stakeholders with their recruiting needs.
- Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in talent acquisition and recommend contemporary solutions.
- Perform system testing, functionality, and rollout of Workday and Recruitment system upgrades to drive efficient operations.
- Assist with developing, coordinating, testing, and recommending changes for the improvement of work processes.
- Lead various program and project initiatives within the department and perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered where applicable.
- Six years of experience with recruiting and candidate sourcing, preferably within HR or a staffing agency environment using an online job application system.
- Experience with Workday Recruiting and LinkedIn Recruiter preferred.
- Experience managing Applicant Tracking HRIS and Workday knowledge preferred.
- Certification in Recruitment preferred.
Skills

- Ability to plan and manage workflow, priorities, and results.
- Ability to present and disseminate data to various levels.
- Advanced knowledge of computerized systems and operating environments, including Microsoft Office Products and specialized computer systems.
- Ability to interact and effectively communicate with employee and student populations.

Pay
$52,900 - $62,158 (Salary commensurate with education and experience).
Schedule
- Full-time, regular position.
- Monday – Friday (Weekends/Varies).
- 40 hours per week.
- First shift.
