Responsibilities
- Scout talent markets and source candidates globally for open professional-level positions.
- Manage a requisition load of 50+ job openings routinely.
- Utilize sourcing tools such as LinkedIn, competitor websites, information databases, the internet, job boards (colleges, professional associations, etc.), referrals, data from new hires, previous applicants in the ATS, licensing portals, internal employees, and professional networking sites to search for quality passive candidates.
- Cold call and pre-screen potential passive candidates to determine fit for open professional positions.
- Work with hiring and regional managers to develop recruitment plans for new professional-level positions, anticipating varying levels of labor intensity.
- Confer with management to discuss long-range personnel needs and prepare recruitment programs.
- Guide hiring managers in effective use of recruiting techniques.
- Build and maintain market-specific candidate databases for assigned regions.
- Stay abreast of competitor business activities (acquisitions, lay-offs, branch closings, etc.) that may impact recruiting efforts.
- Conduct pre-interview screenings, reference checks, and employment verifications to ensure candidates meet organizational qualifications.
- Perform initial interviews to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, compensation needs, and other qualifications.
- Inform applicants about job duties, compensation, benefits, work schedules, company policies, promotional opportunities, and related information.
- Arrange travel and lodging for selected applicants at company expense.
- Correspond with job applicants regarding employment consideration.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including Affirmative Action and OFCCP regulations.
- Assist with non-professional positions on a case-by-case basis.
- Complete and submit all required reporting by set due dates.
- Occasionally visit branch offices to understand local office culture and personnel.
- Research and attend local networking, engineering organization, and career fair events as appropriate.
- Facilitate partnerships between hiring managers and passive candidates based on existing relationships.
- Utilize the ATS to process, manage, and communicate with candidates outside of the ATS ("passive candidates").
- Assist with implementing best recruiting practices.
- Collaborate with regional and corporate recruiting teams to ensure all recruiting goals are met.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Human Resources or similar field preferred.
- 8–10+ years of relevant experience.
