About the Role
The main purpose of this job is to execute reconciliation of complex accounting activities.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Execute reconciliation of complex accounting activities, including processes of multiple financial product offerings, General Ledger Accounts, and various banking activities.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of all business lines you support and functional requirements for that area.
- Ensure all aged items are researched and resolved in an effective and efficient manner according to the aged item parameters.
- Resolve extraordinarily complex reconciliation issues to limit financial liability and exposure to the organization.
- Ensure all reconciliation processes meet or exceed procedural requirements.
- Participate in projects to support future initiatives, such as implementing new and upgraded technologies to achieve established goals.
- Recommend ideas or approaches to enhance the reconciliations processes performed in the area.
- Represent line of business on projects acting as subject matter expert when appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of banking products and services.
- Strong knowledge of complex accounting functions.
- Strong knowledge of EIB Workday Uploads, DFE Uploads, and other import methods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies, including utilizing various Excel techniques.
- Proven ability to perform reconciliation effectively while assessed on timeliness, accuracy, and proactive resolution of outstanding expectations.
- Proven ability to utilize intermediate problem-solving techniques to research and resolve discrepancies.
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values.
- Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- 3+ years reconciliation experience required, preferably in financial services.
- Experience in complex, high volume account reconciliation preferred.
Schedule
- Hybrid: In office a minimum of 2 days/week (training will require up to 5 days per week in office for up to 8 weeks, depending on progress and business need).
Pay
Hourly compensation range: $21.40 - $27.65 (based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies).
