Senior Real Estate Paralegal

Key Responsibilities

  • Aid in the preparation, filing, and organization of all forms and applications for real estate matters requiring submission with the DRE.
  • Utilize and establish workflow procedures and communicate between relevant teams (developer, consultants, legal teams, title and escrow).
  • Prepare and organize all pre- and post-closing logistics for complex real estate transactions, including drafting basic agreements, correspondence, document summaries, consents, schedules, and exhibits.
  • Prepare and coordinate various filings for the formation of limited liability companies and corporations, including Subchapter S corporations, C corporations, and nonprofit corporations.
  • Prepare and file amendments, merger documents, conversion documents, and cancellation documents for entity modifications, including authorization required for such transactions.
  • Organize, review, and analyze various due diligence matters, including UCC searches and local transfer requirements.
  • Assist with other department duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Compensation

    Salary to be based upon experience; we are targeting between $120,000 and $140,000 annual.

    Work Schedule

    For the first 90 days, you will be required to work completely onsite. A hybrid work arrangement out of our San Francisco office is expected, with the expectation to be in the office 3 times per week and on an as needed basis.

    About the Role

    This position requires a minimum of 7 years’ experience working in a law firm as a Real Estate Paralegal with a preferred background in supporting development of large master planned and major real estate subdivision transactions, including the understanding of the Subdivided Lands Law, experience in filings and interacting with the California Departments of Real Estate (DRE).

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
    • Knowledge of Subdivided Lands Law and California Department of Real Estate regulations.
