About the role

The Department of Ophthalmology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate and Full Professor positions.

Responsibilities

• Teaching responsibilities may include teaching residents, students, and fellows at Scheie.
• Mentorship of junior faculty members, as well as trainees, is expected.
• Clinical responsibilities may include providing medical and surgical retina care for patients at Scheie and one of Scheie's satellite offices.
• Research or scholarship responsibilities may include collaborative or independent research within the specific area of retina.

Requirements

• Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree.
• Rank will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Both tenure and clinician-educator faculty conduct methodological and collaborative research.
• Tenure track faculty focus primarily on independent, investigator-driven research.
• Clinician educator-track faculty focus primarily on collaboration.
