About the role

Provides coverage at other clinics within the region for callouts and other planned paid time off. Act as the primary trainer for all new hires, mentor and train all Radiology Technologists on any process improvement measures, and update company policy and procedures. Ensures equipment is in working order, maintains radiology supplies and reports any malfunctions. Explains all procedures to patients including answering any questions presented. Completes X-Ray orders in system, protects patients from unnecessary exposure to radiation by utilizing shielding equipment. Documents patient care services in chart Importing of outside imaging to office PACS. Production of CDs of office images for patients and providers. Scanning of documents into EMR. Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety. Check in of outside imaging. Maintains accurate QC logs and service records, maintains and monitors dosimetry badges, etc. as required by state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of radiology equipment.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understand/Perform training on electronic medical record software.
  • Continue to expand knowledge of electronic medical record software as updates occur.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of approved American College of Radiology Technologist Program.
  • Certificate of Medical Imaging Modality by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Azizs State license Medical Radiologic Technologist Board of Examiners (MRTBE).
  • Maintain CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 - 2 years Radiology, preferably in a busy orthopedic practice or hospital.
