Vehicle Software Testing
- Generate and execute test plans to uncover system limitations and collect relevant data for improvements.
- Perform root cause analysis of defects and performance issues, recommending solutions.
- Design and deploy supplementary instrumentation and infrastructure to capture test data.
- Analyze test data and generate reports to communicate performance issues and improvements over time.
- Maintain a verification and validation report showing current vehicle-level system performance against requirements.
- Collaborate with software component teams to generate quantifiable performance metrics and implement vehicle-level tests.
- Provide regular reports consolidating test event results and detailed defect reports with supporting logs.
- Perform on-road testing as a detailed observer/annotator and travel domestically or internationally to support testing (up to 25%).
Software Engineering
- Execute full software development lifecycle activities using C++ and scripting languages in a Linux environment, following Lean-Agile methodologies.
- Complete software assignments including design, implementation, unit testing, vehicle testing, and deployed software maintenance, adhering to quality, build, deploy, test, safety, and process requirements.
- Assist in root cause analysis of issues found in testing and process automation steps.
- Support daily assignments, report progress at stand-ups, and contribute to software and system-level test plans and verification strategies.
- Design and implement systems for data acquisition and analysis from remote vehicles in the field.
- Ensure software updates do not regress performance by utilizing simulation software and scenarios.
- Demonstrate a passion for autonomy technology.
