Senior Quality Inspector, InProcess Inspection

Saab, Inc. is seeking a Senior Quality Inspector to perform quality inspections during the production process and maintain high levels of quality for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process quality inspections on product as it is being produced.
• Promptly identify, document and communicate quality concerns to appropriate personnel to minimize impact on production processes.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, and other inspection tools.
• Collect and maintain related quality records.
• Use a computer-based ERP system for data entry.
• Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials.
• Assist in first article and sampling inspections, as requested.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities, as requested.
• Assist with audits and quality system documentation, as needed.
• Provide task guidance, direction, or skills training to other nonexempt personnel.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree, technical/business school, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Comfortable using computers and learning software programs.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Effective problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Previous experience with product inspection.
• Familiarity with measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Experience in automotive, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing is a plus.
