Senior Quality Inspector, InProcess Inspection
Saab, Inc. is seeking a Senior Quality Inspector to perform quality inspections during the production process and maintain high levels of quality for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process quality inspections on product as it is being produced.
- Promptly identify, document and communicate quality concerns to appropriate personnel to minimize impact on production processes.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, and other inspection tools.
- Collect and maintain related quality records.
- Use a computer-based ERP system for data entry.
- Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials.
- Assist in first article and sampling inspections, as requested.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities, as requested.
- Assist with audits and quality system documentation, as needed.
- Provide task guidance, direction, or skills training to other nonexempt personnel.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree, technical/business school, or equivalent.
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Comfortable using computers and learning software programs.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Effective problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Previous experience with product inspection.
- Familiarity with measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing is a plus.
